Nuthatch

Meet the nuthatch.

This little grey-blue guy is a regular at my backyard feeder, so naturally he eventually ended up in a painting. I love the way these birds scoot around the feeder with their slightly upside-down approach to life.

Painted in loose watercolour washes with pops of colour and a glint in his eye, this little guy has plenty of personality for such a small bird.
