Goldfinch

There’s no mistaking a goldfinch.

This original watercolour captures one of these cheerful little birds perched and taking it all in. I’ve used loose washes and splashes of colour to keep the painting fresh and let some of the paper show through.

Framed and ready to hang, it’s a small piece of nature with plenty of personality.
