Northern Flicker

Original 8x10 framed watercolour on 140lb archival quality paper.

From a series called Backyard Birds, each of these paintings make a cheerful addition to any decor.  They were inspired by the birds we see (and hear) here in the lower mainland of British Columbia.  Birds bring colour, song and and sense of freedom to our lives, but also a bit of mystery and mischief.  I have tried to impart these characteristics into my Backyard Birds.
